Defensive coordinator Pasqualoni was fired
Miami Dolphins coach Tony Sparano decided to fire defensive coordinator Paul Pasqualoni. Miami delievered the announcement Monday in a two-sentences statement. No name offered to the replacement.
Pasqualoni had been in the Dolphins since Sparano was there two years ago. They worked together as assistants with the Cowboys. Pasqualoni was head coach at Syracuse in 1991-2004, leading the Orangemen to a 107-59-1 record and nine bowl appearances. The Dolphins won the AFC East in 2008 but they ended with 7-9 this season, and defensive was one of the problems. It’s a total failure that put newcomer Gibril Wilson at free safety and Joey Porter also inactive at the outside linebackers.
Another advantage was that they easily give up at the finish. “It takes 11 guys,” strong safety Yeremiah Bell said the day after the season ended. “And we didn’t always play like there were 11 out there.” They gave up 140 points in the fourth quarter. Players with miami dolphins jerseys need to improve.
